Diamond Cares, in response to the pandemic, proactively distributed immunity boosters to 4000 families residing in the slum areas of Alipore and Chetla. With a focus on enhancing the well-being of these communities, we aimed to strengthen their immune systems and promote better health during these challenging times. Through this initiative, we endeavoured to promote health and resilience within our community. &nbsp;

The COVID-19 outbreak has largely affected the needy and underprivileged. Diamond Cares took the initiative to distribute dry ration to the people in the villages of Dankuni and areas near Diamond Plaza. In these tough times we encourage everyone to do their bit and help those in need.

Diamond Cares, in collaboration with Garbage Free India, headed a groundbreaking initiative called 'Giving Rice for Plastic Bags' at Alipore Sarbojanin on January 12, 2020. This pilot program aimed to combat plastic pollution while addressing the issue of food scarcity. The honourable Mayor of Kolkata, Firhad Hakim, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices and community engagement. Through this drive, we not only collected plastic bags but also distributed rice to those in need, creating a win-win solution for both the environment and the local community.

Diamond Group, in partnership with Garbage Free India, took a proactive step towards environmental conservation through the 'Socho Alag' initiative. With great pride, we revitalized the Alipore Canal Road, once a wasteland, and turned it into a flourishing green space. As a symbol of our commitment to a greener future, saplings were distributed to the community, fostering a sense of environmental consciousness and inspiring others to join our cause. &nbsp;

‘Socho Alag’ Campaign

Our ‘Socho Alag’, Alipore champion, Kavita Kajaria, and her mother-in-law headed an impactful awareness and training program on composting waste management at Surya Kiran Apartment. With a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, they introduced the concept of home composting. This initiative aims to reduce waste, promote a greener lifestyle, and create a positive environmental impact within the community.

We undertook a sanitary pad distribution program in Alipore. Recognizing the importance of menstrual health, we aimed to ensure that women and girls had access to essential sanitary pads.

Empowering Alipore through Sewing Machine Donations and Tailoring Skill Development: As part of our CSR initiative, we facilitated sewing machine donations and conducted tailoring skill development tutorials in Alipore. By providing individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge, we aimed to empower the community and create opportunities for self-sufficiency.

Distribution of immunity medicines and masks: As part of our CSR initiative, we actively contributed to the distribution of essential immunity medicines and masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
